Double Headers
Instructions on Playing
We hope that the poor weather holds off, and we manage to get through all of the fixtures without the need for evening matches or Double Headers, however, if they do become necessary please ensure that Double Headers are played in accordance with the following instructions.
Examples Listed Below
Listed is the period of time to be played in each half of the 2 double header games.
The 2 matches will require 2 separate match sheets.
Periods of Play
Under 12
(1st match) 20 mins of two equal halves - period of play, 40 mins
(2nd match) 20 mins of two equal halves - period of play, 40 mins
TOTAL AMOUNT OF PLAY = 80mins
Under 13 to 18
(1st match) 25 mins of two equal halves - period of play, 50 mins
(2nd match) 25 mins of two equal halves - period of play, 50 mins
TOTAL AMOUNT OF PLAY = 100mins
Please Note
All the above matches shall be required to have a half-time interval, of a minimum of 5 minutes duration, in each of the 2 matches of the double header.
Any double header matches played without the above criteria being fully implemented will be made Void.
Clubs, when confirming the fixture with the appointed referee, must advise them that the scheduled fixture is to be played as a double header.
